H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan Wins the Powerful Leaders Award

H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan: A Man of Determination, Vision, and Commitment

His Excellency, Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, is a peace-loving leader, influencer, and world changer. For more than 40 years he has been among the most visible proponents in promoting tolerance and peace in the Arab region and in the world. He has proved to be a great leader, visionary, mentor, communicator, and a change-maker during his term as president of the Arab Parliament.

Al Jarwan played important roles in the Arab Parliament for two consecutive terms. He was a member of the Federal National Council of the UAE from 2011 to 2018, member of the board of directors of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2008 to 2012, and founder and manager of Sharjah Old Cars Club and Museum from 2007 to 2012.

His achievements were visible and highly recognized and varied specifically between the representation, definition of the Arab Parliament regionally and internationally and the foundation, introduction and recognition of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace at the global level, promoting the values of Tolerance and the culture of peace, to fight against discrimination, religious sectarianism, ethnocentrism, to develop the norms of international law and to strengthen the principles of tolerance for achieving peace.

Al Jarwan is a person of fortitude and candor, displaying a spirit of intercultural awareness, bridging the divergence among countries with varied political agendas. In fact, he encapsulates professionalism, diplomatic assurance, business insight, and cultural sensitivity.

He managed to make more than 85 countries join the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace as member states, and also to make more than 50 academic institutions and NGO join the General Assembly for Tolerance and Peace. With his great effort, he was able also to make the International Parliament of Tolerance and Peace as permanent observer in the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

He joined the UAE Armed Forces and retired with the rank of Colonel, Engineer Staff, receiving the Military Service Medal. He also served in the deputy Military Attaché of the UAE Embassy in Washington, D.C., and London.

His accomplishments are nationally and internationally renowned.

Al Jarwan has truly given congressional testimony numerous times over the past few years and continues to make a global impact in shaping world in tolerance and peace.

He was a key player and essential participant in all activities of international organizations and in national and international parliamentarians’ meetings, receiving great recognition from dignitaries worldwide.

He has earned many global awards and medals for his achievements regarding human rights, tolerance, peace, sustainable development, and women and youth rights, such as:

• Golden Peacemaker Order by worldwide Charitable Alliance 2021.
• Distinguished Humanitarian Award 2020.
• Mahatma Gandhi International Award 2020 to global leaders for spreading peace and international understanding.
• Order of the “Service of Russia” first class by Prof. Kamshilov Valery Vasilyevich in 2020.
• Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who in 2020.
• Order of Democracy in the Extraordinary Grand Cross degree by the president of Colombia2019, San Juan Medal of Argentina in 2019.
• Medal of the Arab Parliament, National Order by the President of Djibouti, National Order by the President of Comoros.
• Military Service Medal from United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, and many others.

Recently, H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan has been recognized by Global Excellence Assembly with the Powerful Leaders Award in 2021, for his dedication, achievements, and leadership. In addition to performing his job at an exemplary level, he has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the Arab community as well as to the world, thus representing his own country – the United Arab Emirates.

H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan is indeed considered to be one of the most influential figures in the world. He has dedicated his life to the promotion of tolerance and peace, contributing to various initiatives that promote dialogue and understanding among different cultures, religions, and countries.

The Global Excellence Assembly ”Powerful Leaders Award” was given to His Excellency Ahmed Al Jarwan for his dedication to promote tolerance and peace through The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace – a non-profit organization that works to promote tolerance through education, awareness, dialogue, and action. Its work includes worldwide initiatives to build cross-cultural understanding and to create communities where difference is respected and celebrated.

The organization was founded by H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan himself, President of the GCCT. It is currently the only global initiative dedicated to advocating for tolerance and peace in all aspects of life, from family to government, to religion and education.
